Around China : GaryWWrightJr commented on news Shanghai Taxi Driver Detained for Harassing 14 Year Old Passenger

It's absolutely *not* normal, but it's also not sexual molestation for the reason that guest55555 outlined. Whether you are a parent or not has no bearing on whether something is sexual molestation. The law exists so that people don't get to just punish someone based on their feelings regardless of facts. Full Comment>>

Not all bigger cities ban scooters, and even those that do often only ban them in downtown areas (and we all know that the bigger cities are *far* larger than their downtown areas). Full Comment>>

Around China : GaryWWrightJr commented on news Polish Man on Scooter Kicks Over Jaywalking Woman in Nanjing

I honestly cannot think of a single legitimate reason to kick a pedestrian while riding past on a scooter or motorcycle. Even if the person walked in front of the rider, pedestrians have right-of-way in China (as in much of the world). That doesn't even make sense in the context of the article. Naming a total stranger's child is in no way President Xi's responsibility, and it *is* a lot of responsibility. Full Comment>>

And yet you stay? If you don't care for Chinese thinking or the Chinese way of life, it seems like a fairly simple solution: GTFO. I see so much anti-Chinese BS here posted by foreigners (usually anonymous, you cowards), and yet the bulk of you stay in China (or claim to). You, collectively, post on these boards day ...
