Not true! Some agents can legally introduce people to work in China so long as they are registered with the SAFEA However, they can only introduce people legally to SAFEA registered schools Full Comment>>

To Jessica - THANK YOU - It was so nice to read this article and see that somebody has the same issues and it is not just me. I have lived here for 12 years, speak fluent Chinese, have a wife who speaks only a little English and two children that come with a mother-in-law as part of the package! I totally understand ... Easy to say walk in but only if you are working illegally. Work visas have to be processed out of the country so even if you come looking for a job and you want to be legal you will have to leave at some point!! Also, a really professional school with a good reputation will not negotiate with you for salary or perks ... Full Comment>>
