That's a fictional story. Leukemia is a cancer of the blood, so I'm left wondering what is he surgically removing? Also, most people with leukemia are kids. The older you get, the less likely of survival. I found out I had it when I was 13. I never had "surgery" for my cancer, but I've had multiple other surgeries ... Full Comment>>

I have this book. Several of the stories, like Carter's, are "unsavory" and might be too provocative for sensitive readers, but overall it's an inspiring read, Dan Washburn's and Susie Gordon's essays in particular. Full Comment>>
