Hospitals in China are the worst places. I hate going to them more than dirty rural bathrooms. The doctors and nurses are so cold (uncaring) and incompetent (at least from my encounters). I am inclined to agree. I like that the holiday is still mainly about spending time with the family more than consumerism and just a chance to take a vacation. The problem is that is hard to understand the holiday if you don't have Chinese family or close friends. Full Comment>>

Did you notice the quotations marks? Many of them are not legitimate but actually just have connections or bribe the local government. So it is very hypocritical from my point of view. There is possibly ONE illegally foreign run school for every 3000 Chinese illegally run schools. Full Comment>>

I have seen thousands of these places opened by Chinese all over the place. The police wouldn't care about this unless someone told on him. Most likely some "legit" nearby English center with Chinese owners that were losing business to his school. Full Comment>>
