NanNingJay, I am not sure about whether these two are guilty or not but my comment is primarily based on most other Canadians I have met in China. Just my personal experience. Full Comment>>

Yes, I did make a few errors which were made while I was in haste. It seems, however, that your pathetic comments regarding foreign English teachers is somewhat absurd and inappropriate since it is not the behaviour of foreign teachers I am talking about here but, rather, the ability to speak and teach correct ... If China is really serious about it's English teaching programme then it has to change its present course and stop following the incorrect methods used by its neighbouring countries. A TEFL/ESL teacher is not a competent teacher just because he/she has a degree. There are those without degrees, as Englishuk has ... Full Comment>>

I began working in a well-known school in Foshan only to later find out that the school did not have a permit to employ foreign teachers. I had a valid working visa at the time but the school put me in a precarious position by employing me. They were able to employ me by informing the authorities that I worked at ... Full Comment>>

The shame campaign to get married by the age of 30 did not begin in 2007. It has been part of the Chinese culture for eons. Another problem is that most Chinese women are forced, by their families, not to explore and marry other nationalities. Many of them might also be educated in their fields of study but do not ... Yes I do. When I was working in Hekou, Shangdong Province, an Irish female teacher was raped by a Chinese man. He was caught and sentenced to 8 years in jail. So foreign women are not immune to rape in China. Full Comment>>

USA has to be the biggest propaganda machine the world has ever had the displeasure of experiencing. It intimidates everyone and thinks it is God. The most arrogant nation on earth. Let me tell you that most Chinese are compulsive liars and it is extremely difficult to trust them. Women/Girls are trying to be little materialistic princesses on the prowl for wealthy men and men have no manners and most of them behave like idiots. There are very few exceptions. I have had a bad experience with ... Full Comment>>

I have never come across so many unprofessional, badly behaved Canadians anywhere as I have in China. Canadians are ruining the good reputation they once had. Many of the bad ones are coming here. I'm not surprised by this event at all. Full Comment>>

I have worked and taught English at 6 different "English Language Schools" in China in the last 3 years and they are all low quality institutions. I cannot imagine it being different anywhere else in China. Most of these so-called teachers I have worked with are useless. Most of them, in their 20's, come ... Full Comment>>

I was employed by a well-known English learning centre in Foshan and later discovered that they had hired me illegally. They had no permit to hire foreign teachers. I was outraged when I found out.
