jusher on news Protecting Your Future: Secure Expat Jobs in China(9 comments)

Pretty weak article. It could use some more substance. It also failed to address the abundance of companies that exploit their "local higher expats" through false expectations, deception, and lack of respect. It would be interesting to see an article on what red flags to look for or questions to ask when ... Full Comment>>

"The 'free' west". Wow. Don't tell me you have bought into the closed minded belligerent thinking of...here is China and there is everything else. The statistics they quoted in this article are ridiculously high. Plenty of room for improvement and much higher than my home country. Full Comment>>

Perhaps (this could be another study). Like with many things in China, it seems to the be the land of contradictions. They want their children to go to western Universities, yet they are reducing the importance of English in their studies. They want their youths to be competitive on an international level, yet they ... Full Comment>>

You are not totally off base. In this day and age, it is quite easy to point somewhere else and say 'it's been done before'. However, as this study points out, being burdened with doing remedial seemingly pointless redundant tasks has had a negative effect on the average office worker (work ethic, motivation). This ... Article didn't make sense to me. It seemed like the author was trying harder to convince people they should comeback/not leave China rather than answer the question of the title (which he/she/it didn't really). A new title may help the garble breach the realm of slop. Full Comment>>

Meaningless piece slanted towards anti foreigner. Not enough info to know what the real facts are. Guest922618 made a good point...You don't need a drivers license for an e-bike. So why would the author put that in the article as if the foreigner did something wrong? Bias? Poor journalism? The author doesn't know ... Full Comment>>

It's called the 'China Employment Plan'. 1. Employ more people than needed for the task at hand. 2. Disperse work over 10 people that otherwise 1 could handle. 3. Give them a place to go from 9-5. 4. Create inefficiencies and excess paper work so there are tasks to delegate to the plethora of bodies occupying office ... Full Comment>>

Haphazard article. The author needs to either spend more time in China or get out more. She neglected to mention The Eagles 'Hotel California'. They definitely trump Kenny G, Backstreet men, and Bean (wtf). I kind of stuck with the music theme. Otherwise Nicolas Cage is a shoe in. Full Comment>>
