Yep this would be funny if it wasn't real and very much something I have experienced as a teacher in Shenzhen many years I also noticed this nowism mindset that in actual fact has always been part of the culture, it's just that y9ou have noticed it recently, as you stated that is china/ culture/ social standing too! ...
