I-phone is a product made by Apple, and Apple won't do market skimming. They make premium products and price accordingly, with no discounts. Full Comment>>

Yankee...noted that. I think it depends on whether dumping water on your head will get more people interested into the cause and thus donate. If nothing else isn't it a bit of fun, and that's something not enough Chinese people get. I wonder how many people said "nahh, I bet $100 you WON'T do it", and then they had ... Full Comment>>

ooooh, that's new. What you actually said was "all that water could go to drought stricken Africa", nothing about a social conscience. By saying "stupid idea", you are suggesting intelligent people shouldn't do it (and let's assume everyone wants to be intelligent), so people shouldn't participate in a charitable ... Full Comment>>

Around China : ahopkins767 commented on news “Last name revolution”: Thousands of RMB Given for Naming Children after Mothers

"Anhui Province, newborns are encouraged to inherit their mother’s last name". It's not about having girls - it's about inheriting the mother's last name regardless of sex. By doing so they hope to (overtime probably) make it just as okay to have the mother's name as the father's. Therefore, that would remove the ... Full Comment>>

Blogs : ahopkins767 commented on hadleyj09 's blog Complaining Makes Us All Look Bad

In my opinion, much of what is said by HadleyJ09 is fair. Too many "foreigners" seems to spend an awful lot of their lives here complaining. However, I think that's just because of our culture - we are brought up to question and to speak up if we disagree with something - and there are lots of things to disagree ... Full Comment>>
