So this is my first ever blog, i mean ever. yeah i;m an old git moving around Asia on a vacation pretending to be business.

To the point,  I just left Shanghai, the first time i have spent more than a few hours their passing through. and i just wanted to offer a word of  warning to other ex-pats and Chinese tourist alike. its about what i called  "The Wolf pack". They work in 3's normaly two girls and a guy but i noticed a twosome and three girls but the most consistent packs are the two girl/guy set-up.

The pitch goes like this, "Will you take a photo of me and my friends?". needless to say the norms of polite society dictate the answer to be "Yes". thats it they have you. "They are on vacation from Beijing". , "They want to see the "Tea dance" at a place only twenty minutes away"....... well the rest you can imagine, its the tricks used in Soho London when i was a kid,  its used all over the place, this is just the Chinese variation. expect the tea to cost a fortune, and be cheap stuff... etc.... as in Soho, Champagne that tastes like  cherry cola...

So "BE WARNED, these girl are on commission, they make their income on what you will be charged.

You will find these packs at the Peoples Park, the side of the river looking to the Shanghai East skyline, and i'm sure many other spots around town.

P. S. I love China....... even these wolf packs are a sign of globalisation.
