"Heaven Above, Suzhou and Hangzhou below."(上有天堂，下有蘇杭), there is a famous chinese saying which speaks volumes about the beauty of zhejiang province especially hangzhou-the city beautiful,the city where i have been staying for the last one year. Zhejiang province which is strategically located in the east coast of China boast of a very rich tradition and culture especially hangzhou, its capital which was also in olden times the capital of the southern song dynasty. With the west lake being the centre of attraction; the paranormic view of the west lake is simply breathtaking.With the surface area of 6.2 sq km, it nearly takes a whole day to make a round of it and there are several gateways to enter it. There is always something interesting happening at west lake;you will always find something that will intrigue you like a sideway waterwork opera show which happens every evening,an exhibition by remote-controlled airplanes which can really fly high. Not forgetting the outrageously expensive restaurants nearby which me and my friends happened to walk into one time and had to pay a bill of 800 RMB for four people. There are also a lot of antique and souvenir shops to browse by for touristers,boat rides and vending machines all over the place so that you never go thristy.

If you are an expat,west lake should probably be the first place you should be visiting, firstly its the coolest place to be, secondly the views are breathtaking, thirdly the place is brimming with expats from time to time and lastly but not the least, they have some really cool bars to hang out at night; so what would be better than spending your saturday or your sunday visiting and sightseeing during the day and chilling out in those cool bars at night. Like the chinese saying "Be born in Suzhou, live in Hangzhou, eat in Guangzhou, die in Liuzhou." (生在蘇州, 活在杭州, 吃在廣州, 死在柳州), I couldn't have wished for a better to live in China than Hangzhou............
