Hi! I’m James, an English teacher who has worked in more than seven countries abroad. I have 27 years of experience in the field of ESL. Regarding my education, I hold two bachelor’s degrees (Interpretation & Translation and International Economics) and a TESOL certificate. I am well suited to teach English to young learners -kindergarten children and primary school pupils from Grade 1 to Grade 4. I also enjoy teaching high school students and adults (college and university students). I am very creative in teaching foreign languages to my learners. I design ESL classes: I create games and songs, develop study plans based on targeted books, and I also train teachers. I have worked in most countries in Southeast Asia, with the exception of the Philippines and Indonesia. My longest appointments were in China and Vietnam. I cannot include every detail here in a single cover letter, but I am happy to share more on request. Besides teaching, I enjoy cooking, for example, Southeast Asian beef stew, Chinese Dapanji, and Indian biryani. I love nature and often walk in parks while listening to classical music. I neither smoke nor drink; instead I exercise regularly — yoga, gymnastics on horizontal bars, and occasionally Taekwondo.
