FARA FAWCETT. Farrah Fawcett Leni was an American artist who performed on TV and also live on stage, and also a model. She was born on the 2nd of February, 1947 at Corpus Christi, Texas in the United States. For her education, she went to the University of Texas right there in US. She was married to Lee Majors. Farrah died on the 25th of June, 2009, sixty five (65) years after she was born. She was buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood village Memorial Park and Mortuary, Los Angeles, California, United States. HER EARLY LIFE: Farrah was born to the family of Mr James Williams Fawcett and Mrs Paulina Alice Fawcett on the 2nd of February 1947. She had a sibling; Diane Fawcett, who happens to be her older sister. Her mother, Alice( 1914-2005) worked as a homemaker, her dad James( 1917-2010) worked as an oil field contractor while her sister( 1938-2001) worked as a graphic artist. Fawcett began her early education at a Parish School of her family’s church; St Patrick’s Roman Catholic church in Corpus Christi. Later, she graduated from W. B Ray High School also in Corpus Christi. While in school, she was nominated as the “most beautiful” by her classmates, a title she held from her freshman year till senior year in High school. In a bid to further her education, she studied Microbiology at the University of Texas before switching to arts. HER CAREER: Fawcett began her career in the 1960s appearing in commercials and guest roles on television. During the 1970s, she appeared in numerous television series, including recurring roles on Harry O (1974–1976), and The Six Million Dollar Man (1974–1978) with her first husband, film and television star Lee Majors. She had her breakthrough role in 1976 when she was cast as Jill Munroe in Charlie’s Angels, alongside Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The show propelled all three to stardom, but especially Fawcett, who was then billed as “Farrah Fawcett-Majors”. After appearing only in the first season, she decided to leave the show, but returned as a guest star in six episodes during the show’s third and fourth seasons (1978–1980). For her role in Charlie’s Angels, she received her first Golden Globe nomination. In 1983, Fawcett received positive reviews for her performance in the Off-Broadway play Extremities. She was subsequently cast in the 1986 film version and received a Golden Globe nomination. She received two Emmy Award nominations for her roles in TV movies, as a battered wife in the 1984 film The Burning Bed and as real-life murderer Diane Downs in the 1989 film Small Sacrifices. Her 1980s work in TV movies also earned her four additional Golden Globe nominations.
