It was 10: am in the Morning and like any other normal day I took my baby out to the shopping mall. to play with other kids, so she could meet all her kid friends, and flex all her muscles runNing about  everywhere. This excercise would also help her midday meal well. And have a good nap. I was aware that the tempreture in shanghai was about to peak in it the red sector.I usually take her to the near by park which is much cooler and relaxing when the weather is good.

But since I come from a tropical climate country , I am used to the high temperatures. So I put on some loose clothing  for my baby  by the way who is 13 months old , and loves to walk about. I put on a white t shirt and Knees llength trousers. As I came out of my appartment building which is locaTed in the center of the city. I felt like I just entered a preheated oven, my poor baby did not know how to react to the hot temperature , all though she was well protected from the sun . The humidity around her was unbearable for , so she asked me to hand her , her juice bottle which I usually , it usually takes us about 10 mins reach the shopping mall. Just 5 mins into our journey she finished her juice , and 8 mins in to our journey , about 100 meters away from the shopping mall , my baby fell a sleep she could not Bear The heat. By the time we reached the shopping mall my head was all wet dripping with  sweat, my shirt soaked in sweat. My baby's head was all wet with sweat . Her body warm. 

On reaching the shopping mall let her sleep and.After a 40 mins sleep she got up feeling restless. Then when she got up I took her to the restroom and her a nice wash. This made her feel fresh and comfortable. I towashed my face. Then on my way back home, I  made a cab . On  returning home I read that the temperature  record was broken for the hottest summer in shanghai yet. came to live in shanghai 3 years back , and I must admit the weather was not so hot then.

tthis led me to think is our planet becoming hotter faster than we think. What are we to expect in the comming years. Will our children and future generation  be able to tolerate the rising temperature in the future. It is really time we think of our future generations and especially children  survive the. summer of the future. We now live in what is called a mega city , also a concrete jungle. What can we do to control this global heating as we call it. And how can we make our cities more comfortable to tolerate this kind of temperature. 

We know of many natural disasters earthquake, fire, flood. Drought just to name a few. But heat is a silent Killer . I hope we could have more water fountains, and public wash rooms to freshen and cool our selfs from the scotching heat. writing this blog is an opportunity for me to make a statement. This is not something we can say does not concern me, or is not my responsibility. But first and foremost as citizens of this wonderful planet it is our duty to protect it and keep well for our future generations to come. So come let us all individually do our part , and enjoy this life on this marvelous planet as long , as we live,and making it more beautiful than what it was when man first inherited it. 

In short wars, and Conflicts are destroying our beautiful planet. Just heard of the recent incident of the barrier freed. Very sad.
