The reply I got from the HR person was as follows: "this position is native english editor,if you apply for this job, your mother tongue must be english. you look like chinese from you cv, no ... i was turned down numerous times for the same reasons mentionned in the blog...hiring foreigners (including giving them proper visas to work) isn't something a lot of companies in china can do. they need to have an established relationship with the government as they are tightening down on the immigration policies ...
