The problem with living and working in China is that you get into a cycle that's not good for your long term career. Basically, you find a job that you like but are never quite satisfied because the pay is so much lower than what you make back home. So you start looking for something that pays about the same. Once you find that magic job, you realize it's time to go back home. The problem is that by the time you realize you want to go back home you have already spent most of your professional life in China. Question is, does a professional life in China translate to a professional life in America? Probably not, and so the cycle begins again... C'est la vie, or shall I say 这就是生活!
